Tamar Gerliani

Malati Winery

Malati Winery was founded in 2019 by Tamar Gerliani in Sabue, a village in the Kvareli district of Kakheti. The village is situated on the southern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains, on the left bank of the Intsoba River (a left tributary of the Alazani).

The unique soil structure and the exceptional microclimate created in the valley allow for the production of both red and white grapes of the highest quality.

The company's main goal is to express the uniqueness of the terroir in its wines. Malati produces wine exclusively from grapes harvested from its own organic vineyards, using traditional Qvevri technology.

The winery has been a member of the "Natural Wine" association since 2020.
