Minadze's Winery Persvi
Minadze's Winery Persvi is located in the Imereti region, in the village of Persati, Baghdati Municipality. The vineyards are surrounded by the Ajameti Nature Reserve and the Persati Mountains, creating a unique natural environment for the development of local grape varieties. The vineyard is cultivated using organic methods.
The history of Minadze's Winery Persvi traces back to the family's great-grandfather, Taras Minadze, a renowned winemaker and master. In the early 20th century, he manufactured the first grape crushing machines in Georgia. This historical initiative laid the foundation for the Minadze family's wine cellar, and it continues to inspire and motivate the family to carry on their winemaking legacy.
Today, the winery has a history spanning four generations. Since 2017, Mariam Minadze has joined the winery, and together with her family, produces traditional Imereti wines from local grape varieties.
Since 2018, the wines of Minadze Marani Persvi have been exported to the USA, France, Germany, and Poland.
The winery produces five types of Imereti qvevri wine from various local grape varieties:
