Wine Festival in Krakow

08/07/2024

On July 7, a vibrant Georgian Wine Festival was held in Krakow, welcoming local wine professionals and enthusiasts to explore the diversity of Georgian winemaking. Over 30 Georgian wineries participated in the event, including WIWI members such as Ia’s Winery, KateWine, Kardanakhi Cellar, Sopho’s Family Winery, and Orta—each proudly presenting their wines and sharing the stories behind them.

The festival also featured around 10 wineries from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Moldova, highlighting regional collaboration and mutual appreciation for wine culture.

The event was driven by the passion and dedication of Keto Frangulashvili, a Georgian wine ambassador who has lived in Poland for over a decade. In 2018, Keto founded a Georgian wine distribution company and opened a wine bar in Krakow, which quickly became a beloved destination. Her commitment to promoting Georgian wine and building community helped the business thrive—even through the challenges of the pandemic.
