New wine festival - 2023

On May 13, 2023, the annual New Wine Festival was held in Mtatsminda Park, hosted by the Wine Club, and supported by the National Wine Agency, Tbilisi City Hall, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the Women in Wine Industry Association (WIWI).

WIWI members participated in the festival by offering guests a chance to taste their 2022 vintage wines, showcasing the quality and diversity of wines crafted by Georgian women winemakers.

The New Wine Festival is dedicated to promoting traditional Georgian Qvevri wine, uncovering lesser-known grape varieties and regions, and fostering a stronger wine education and consumer culture across the country.

The event drew a vibrant mix of attendees, including Georgian and international wine professionals, writers, restaurateurs, wine bars, and enthusiasts—all united by a shared passion for Georgian wine
