Basic Principles of Ecological Viticulture - Iago Bitarishvili

On October 28, 2023, members of the Women in Wine Industry Association (WIWI) participated in a specialised training on “Basic Principles of Ecological Viticulture.” The session was hosted at the renowned Iago’s Winery and led by celebrated winemaker Iago Bitarishvili.

The training focused on sustainable vineyard practices, soil health, and the fundamentals of ecological and organic viticulture—offering participants valuable insights into environmentally responsible grape growing methods.

This session was held with the support of the Private Sector Development and Vocational Education in the South Caucasus (PSD TVET SC) programme, implemented in Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan with the support of the respective national ministries and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
