Visit to Bolnisi Winemakers

On December 18, 2023, members of the Women in Wine Industry Association (WIWI) visited Bolnisi at the invitation of the Bolnisi Wine Association.

During the visit, WIWI members toured local wineries and engaged in meaningful exchanges with fellow winemakers from the region. The itinerary included a stop at the Bolnisi Museum, where guests had the opportunity to explore the area’s rich cultural and historical heritage. 

A special highlight of the trip was a visit to the winery at the St. Peter and Paul Monastery on Elias Mountain, where participants were warmly welcomed by the monks and invited to taste their traditionally made wines.
