WIWI.GE – Launch of the New Digital Platform

30/06/2025

On June 30, at the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel, the association Women in Wine Industry (WIWI) officially presented its new and innovative digital platform - wiwi.ge - along with related wine tourism offerings.

The creation of the website was made possible through the financial support of the German government and the active involvement of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The platform was developed within the framework of two key projects: “Digital Transformation of SMEs in Eastern Partnership Countries” (DT4SME) and “VET in Georgia’s Growth Sectors.”

This new digital platform brings together comprehensive information about Georgian women winemakers, their unique wines, and wine tourism services. The primary goal of the association is to promote the work of its female members and to strengthen their visibility and capacities in both local and international markets.

Visitors to the website can explore detailed information about the association’s mission, structure, regulations, and most importantly, member profiles and current updates. Additionally, those interested have the opportunity to join the WIWI network and become part of the community.

One of the highlights of the platform is the Wine Tourism section, which currently features 11 wineries owned and operated by women. Through an interactive map, visitors can easily discover the locations of these wineries in both eastern and western Georgia, learn about their wines, tourism services, and nearby cultural attractions — offering every visitor a truly diverse and memorable experience.

The platform’s launch event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, partner organizations, leading tour operators, wine industry experts, and, of course, WIWI’s women winemaker members.

We are pleased to note that the event became an ideal space for professional dialogue, where guests had the opportunity to meet the association’s members in person and explore exciting prospects for future collaboration.

The event concluded with a special wine tasting, offering guests a unique chance to sample outstanding wines produced by 30 women winemakers — a true celebration of their craftsmanship and growing impact on the Georgian wine industry.
