Women in Wine Industry Introduced WIWI.GE at the WineTech Innovation Summit 2025 in Armenia
24/07/2025On July 22, 2025, the WineTech Innovation Summit was held at Sevan Festival City in Armenia, bringing together regional and international wine industry professionals to explore how digital technology is shaping the future of winemaking and wine tourism.
We are proud to share that Ia Imerlishvili, board member of the Women in Wine Industry Association, represented our association at the event and presented WiWi.ge - our newly launched platform that supports and promotes women working in the Georgian wine and agrotourism sectors.
The presentation, titled "WiWi.ge – A Digital Platform Elevating Women in Georgian Wine and Agrotourism," sparked great interest among participants and highlighted the vital role of women in Georgia’s wine ecosystem.
The development of WiWi.ge was made possible through the financial support of the German government and the active engagement of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The platform was created within the framework of two key initiatives:
- “Digital Transformation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Eastern Partnership Countries” (DT4SME)
- “VET in Georgia’s Growth Sectors”
The summit featured a broad range of topics presented by experts, from digital innovation and branding to sustainability and the use of smart technologies in wine tourism and supply chain management. Once again, it was emphasized that wine is more than just a beverage - it is a cultural symbol and a strategic driver of economic growth.
We are honored to have been part of such a high-profile international platform and thank the organizers for this valuable opportunity.
