"Women in Wine Industry" Founders Guests on Ana Godabrelidze's Show

Manana Akhvlediani and Maiko Katsitadze, co-founders of the Women in Wine Industry Association (WIWI), were featured guests on the programme “Everything About Wine with Ana Godabrelidze.”

During the interview, they shared insights into the Association’s mission, long-term vision, and the vital role women play in shaping the future of Georgian winemaking. The discussion explored both the challenges and opportunities women face in the industry, as well as the broader goal of raising the visibility of female professionals in wine.

“Our goal is to unite women in the wine industry, promote their professional growth, and increase their visibility”- said Manana Akhvlediani.

Maiko Katsitadze highlighted the Association’s focus on education, training, and networking, noting that WIWI is building a strong community where women can support one another and share knowledge.

The programme also touched on the promotion of Georgian wine internationally, and the key role women winemakers play in enhancing the country’s global wine reputation.
