Empowering Women Winemakers in Developing Experiential Tourism Products

06/06/2024

On June 4–5, 2024, the Women in Wine Industry Association organized a two-day training at the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel titled “Empowering Women Winemakers in Developing Experiential Tourism Products.” The event brought together over 40 women winemakers from across Georgia.

Led by Lela Khartishvili, a sustainable tourism expert, the training provided participants with practical tools and strategies for developing wine tourism experiences, improving service quality, creating collaborative routes, and enhancing management and marketing approaches.

In addition to theoretical sessions, the agenda included interactive exercises designed to help participants apply the concepts to their own wineries and regions.

The training was supported by the project "Professional Education in the Growing Sectors of the Georgian Economy", which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
