Field work in the Jighaura Experimental Vineyard

On July 20, 2024, members of the Women in Wine Industry Association participated in a specialized training session titled “Field Work in the Jighaura Experimental Vineyard.” The session was hosted by the Agricultural Research Center and combined both theoretical insights and practical fieldwork.

The training was led by Professor David Chichua, Head of the Agricultural Research Center and faculty member at the Agrarian University of Georgia. Participants gained valuable knowledge in experimental viticulture, enhancing their technical skills and deepening their understanding of grapevine management.

This training was made possible through the support of the Private Sector Development and Vocational Education in the South Caucasus (PSD TVET SC) program. Implemented in Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, the initiative is supported by relevant national ministries and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
